Asana

Asanas strengthen muscles and increase flexibility of joints. Some of them are helpful to treat several life style diseases. People already suffering from some ailments, must consult doctor prior practicing any of the asana. Mentioned below are some of the main asanas :-

  • Sarvangasana

    This asana positively effects and strengthens throat muscles. It balances the hormonal secretions of thyroid glands. Due to earth’s gravitational force in combination with humans’ positions like sitting/ standing/ walking etc, the blood and fluids of the body is more focused in and around feet, thus sometimes giving pain in ankles, knees, legs etc. In this Asana, the legs are raised upwards and thus the fluids/ blood flows to upper body parts.

  • Paschimottanasana

    In this asana, the navel area is pressed and activated. It results in better digestion and absorption of food.

  • Sarpasana / Bhujangasana

    The muscles of spinal cord are streightened. More pressure is put on lower part of spinal cord. It helps in relieving the pains in the area of upper and lower back bone areas, including cervical and spondylitis.
